April 2002 – The dream comes true…

Marilyn still graces the halls of the Ingy’s basement.
Unfortunately the management at the Ingraham changed while this project was on hold. The mural was never totally completed much to the artists’ dismay. This pro-bono project involved over two hundred hours of the artists’ time and creativity. Before the artists were ever properly compensated for this job, or were able to negotiate a contract for completion, the whole mural was painted over. The only evidence of the mural is the mosaic work that was glued to the brick wall – good luck removing that ;-)
The fire-hose is still nicely framed, although not very noticeable on the white wall.
So once again the halls in the Ingy basement are white with blue doors. Like the mural never even happened. And that is the story of the ghost mural.
