Ingraham Ghost Mural Project 2002

Welcome to the Ingy!

A group of artists were invited to paint this huge hotel hallway with a roaming mural that had to cover over 2000 sq. ft. The hallway dissected three times and had over a dozen blue and black doors. Within this space the artist were given five weeks to paint their masterpiece. The only direction the artists were given was, “urban-like and people having fun” and to cover up the doorways. They were also asked to provide some directions within the mural as patrons of the Ingy tended to get lost in the hall of doors. The artists were given paint, a short time line and little else to do this huge job.

The group of artist started out as five dedicated and a few stragglers that would be willing to help. On December 2nd three artists showed up to finish the design and start painting. In the end 11 artists participated in this very strange pro-bono mural project.
